 So why then are all the commercials for Nick Swardson's Pretend Time positively stomach-churning and nightmare-inducing? Unfortunately, because the show follows suit. There is nary a laugh to be found in this "sketch" show, but I'll tell you what there is... 1. A man trying to propose to his girlfriend at a hockey game, only to be bludgeoned by an endless stream of merciless renegade hockey pucks. 2. A car that runs on urine. 3. A crude-talking cat in a wheelchair. 4. A donkey spraying quart after quart of ejaculate against a window. 5. A penis in a jar of piranhas. 6. Nick Swardson's big fat face. 7. and Ryan Phillipe. Really. To be clear, I have nothing against crass, infantile humor... as long as it's actually funny. When the best part of your pilot is a four second "In Memoriam" of Greg Giraldo.  | ||

 The Long Beach skater, also known as "Compton Ass Terry" didn't have the best start in life when aged just five years old his father left, and ten years later his mother died. He grew up in Long Beach which he says was a hard thing to do as there are so many gangs, but the likeable African American always wanted better for himself and with his new TV show Being Terry Kennedy debuting last night it looks like he's managed just that. Kennedy has been a skate celebrity for a few years, the twenty-five-year old also featuring in Viva La Bam with Jackass' Bam Margera and Snoop Dogg's Drop it like it's hot video. His rise from gang life to celebrity has not been easy however and he was shot twice in June 2005, in the jaw and forearm while leaving a party in Long Beach. He made a full recovery and has since, as always, kept on smiling. In an interview with ESPN on the subject of his TV show Terry says, "I'm tapping on family, my skateboarding career, music and me being a young, up and coming mogul." And when asked why he felt Being Terry Kennedy will be a success where other skateboarding legends have failed he replied, "I'm going to be honest; my story can't come across soft. Everything I've been through in life … that's something I want to teach everybody in my city and inner cities around the country and in my African American culture, to not be scared of who you are. If I was scared of who I was as a person never have friends like Andrew Reynolds, I'd never be a skateboarder, nothing would've ever happened for me. That's why I wanted to do the TV show, to show I come from the same situation or worse as many African Americans and I was able to prevail because I stayed true to what I believe in." So is Inspectah Deck Dead? Uh, no. By all accounts, Inspectah Deck is alive and well. While Wikipedia is hardly the final word on such matters, there is no reference on the Inspectah Deck Wikipedia page about his death. There are also no reports from major media sources about the death of Inspectah Deck. So how did the Inspectah Deck death rumor get started? Here's what seems to have happened. During Raekwon's performance at the 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards, the fellow Wu-Tang member said, ""Yo stop the music Premier…yo rest in peace my brother from the Wu, Inspectah Deck." It appears that Raekwon was referring to the fact that Inspectah Deck's mother recently passed away. Sadly, the passing of Inspectah Deck's mother may have spawned an unpleasant rumor.  | ||

 Rapper Eminem and country group Lady Antebellum led the American Music Awards nominations with five nods each. The nominees were announced Tuesday. For the fourth year, winners will be determined by online voting at the official Coca-Cola voting location www.amavote.com as well as ama.abc.com. Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Soundtracks and Contemporary Inspirational. The show is set to air live from L.A. on Sunday, November 21st, and has announced Usher, Pink, and Bon Jovi as preliminary performers. It is a period thriller and is based on the book Do And Die by Manini Chatterjee, based on the Chittagong Uprising of 1930. Abhishek Bachchan plays the character of Master da Surya Sen while Deepika Padukone is one of the revolutionaries who helps him to defeat the British invaders and get hold of Chittagong armoury. Both Abishek and Asin are pleased and thrilled to work with the most promising director of Bollywood. Earlier it was said that Aishwarya Bachchan will play the lady lead role but later Asin was selected, who did not even listened to the script of the film as she had full faith on the director.
