Kangana Ranaut, the once wisp of a girl who's now acquired curves to flaunt, will slip into a tiny bikini for Sanjay Dutt's first home production. The movie titled Rascals will be directed by David Dhawan and co-produced by Dutt's good friend Sanjay Ahluwalia. In the film, Kangana's introductory scene will have her emerging out of the sea in a wet, revealing bikini. The scene will be shot in Bangkok. We hear that Kangana herself bought the bikini in London. Apparently, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan will also be part of the scene. They will play onlookers whose eyes will be popped out at the sight of Kangana in a teensy bikini. The readers of currentblips responded overwhelmingly to our new poll in which we asked them about director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's best film. With Guzaarish all set for release in the coming weeks, we thought it apt to ask the opinion of netizens about the auteur's best work to date. He has so far directed five films, including Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Black and Saawariya, apart from his debut work Khamoshi. A whopping 33,754 votes were cast. The competition was mainly between Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas, starring Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan opposite Aishwarya Rai respectively. Devdas won the poll with 50 percent votes, pipping Hum Dil De Chuke... with a narrow margin. Hum Dil got 49 percent votes. Black, which featured a stellar performance from Amitabh Bachchan, got just 1 percent votes, while Bhansali's last film Saawariya, which introduced Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, was rejected outright with 0 percent votes. Abbas Tyrewala's second film Jhootha Hi Sahi couldn't be a big success like his Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, but the movie has slowly found its takers. It is doing fairly well than the rest of this week's releases and has even better collections than Rakta Charitra which opened to a good response and Hisss. In spite of not-so-good reviews and a dull opening, the movie has done business of approx Rs 1.75 crore in its second week and is expected to add Rs 1 crore by the end of this week. Rakta Charitra managed around Rs 1.50 crore approx over its second weekend while Mallika Sherawat's film Hisss which is doing remarkably good in single theatres collected around Rs 1 crore approx. However, the reason for their better performance at the BO is absence of competition. Coming to this Friday's releases, all the three flicks Nakshatra, Daayen Ya Baayen, and Ek Maalik witnessed very poor opening. In fact, as per reports several shows of the films were cancelled at some theatres. As the coming Friday is Diwali, theatres are hoping to get a jam-packed opening; Action Replayy and Golmaal 3 will hit the theatres.  |
