RIM to Launch New BlackPad With Latest OS

RIM is all set to launch its new tablet, the unofficially christened 'BlackPad' next week. And that's not all, the device will also be using the latest OS(operating system) developed by QNX Software, the company that Research In Motion recently bought.

Earlier reports by BusinessWeek stated the existence of this new tablet by RIM. The speculations ended when Wall Street Journal on Tuesday confirmed RIM's decision to launch its new smart phone.  RIM is currently having smart phones running on the Blackberry 6 operating system.

However both the reports form BusinessWeek and the Journal have confirmed that RIM will now be switching over to a whole new platform with the launch of 'BlackPad'. The Journal has said that Quanta-the manufacturing company has affirmed it's currently working on a tablet likely for RIM.

The RIM developer conference to be held next week will see the launch of the tablet that's likely to give a tough competition to the smart phone market giants-Apple & Google. The expert opinions have come in & everyone believes that the Apple’s iOS and Android’s Google operating systems can be beaten only if the new OS by QNX Software makes it to the mark.

The RIM BlackPad will sport a 7" display & support Bluetooth & Wi-Fi. However unlike the iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab devices it's not likely to have its own cellular data radio. The peculiar characteristic of the BlackPad is that it needs to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or through a Blackberry. The smart phone also sports dual camera feature & has Marvell chips embedded in it.

There are questions being raised if RIM is making a move over to its new platform from Blackberry 6 or will it just supply the new OS for the BlackPad. How well, the new OS will be accepted by the consumers will be known only after the fourth quarter when the BlackPad will be available for sale.

Michael Goldbash directed Daydream Nation casts actors like Kat Dennings, Reece Thompson and Josh Lucas and is a movie based on the teenage years wherein a city girl who shifts to a little town gets matted in a love trio with her high school instructor and also her classmate who is a stoner.

The director innovatively rests the subject on a 17 year old sexually active girl who does not retain back her promiscuity even though she shifts back to a small place that is only a bit less weird than her previous location. Caroline Wexler looking around for ways to get high starts seducing her school teacher Mr. Anderson who cannot maintain his calmness with her sexually provocative overtures.

But on the other hand is her madly fallen for lover and classmate who has a lot of emotional baggage to take on. So she decides to make out casually with him. Matters get worse as Thurston gets more serious and Anderson is all too furious and in the background is a serial killer.

Anderson played by Lucas has the appropriate balance of both creepiness and neediness and also secures a good laugh from the audience. The plot of the movie is well spun and built along with Caroline playing the appropriate part of an emotionally vulnerable teenager who is more than wise for her age. There are particular scenes that can set the audience laughing around while there are some that can even thrill you out of your boots so the flick has a lot to watch out for.

The Babri masjid case is all set for verdict on the 24 of September which can incite the feelings of both the communities from its final outcome and now the Supreme Court has also asked Ramesh Chandra Tripathi, the petitioner who plead for deferring the verdict to present his point of view and case in front of an appropriate court.

The petitioner whose plea was rejected earlier by the bench of court at the Lucknow high court and made a serious second attempt by presenting his plea to the supreme court on Wednesday earlier this morning seeking to defer the final verdict of the Ayodhya issue. He applied for a special leave plea wherein the involved parties should settle the matter amicably without the interference of the courts or in other words an out of court settlement.

He also added that this verdict will lead to hurting of feelings of the different community members inciting more possible chances of frenzy and violence.  At that time, the high court had rejected his plea and also fined him a sum of Rs 50,000 accusing him of frivolous and superficial petition just to delay the judgment. The petitioner had challenged the imposed fine too.

In his petition, Tripathi had also referred to an earlier case order announced on 27 July where the parties involved in the case are in complete position to approach the assistance of a special duty officer if they want to settle the matter through out of court settlement or consensus

The buzz setting about the town is that Jwala Gutta, the left handed tennis player of India who is alleged for the break up of the cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin and actress Sangeeta Bijlani will set foot in the TV dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Ja 4th season if all goes well.

Insider sources informed media that the contract has yet not been signed but Jwala is very excited about the entire proposal and will be seen on the show in a very glamorous avatar. The show Jhalak Dikhhla Ja which is the Indian adaptation of dancing shows abroad is showcased on Sony Entertainment Television. The show is popular for having celebrity faces as participants but there have been times when there is a sports personality alongside the professional dancing partner.

During the last season famous footballer Baichung Bhutia won the show while during the second season Ranjan Negi the former coach of hockey could be seen on the show. Apart from Jwala Gutta, ex cricketer and comedy king Navjot Singh Sidhu has almost finalized his presence this season on the show. Insi the sister of Jwala told media that nothing has been finalized officially yet but the discussion about this is still on with channel since there are certain issues that have not been sorted out yet.

Insi also added chirping that Jwala is a dancing enthusiast. Jwala has recently been bordered by a lot many controversies regarding her personal life and hence having her on the show will definitely mean more TRPS.

Special Trains for Diwali 2010 to tackle the festive season rush

In the wake of the upcoming festive season, the Indian Railways have introduced some special trains to handle the huge rush to bring some relief to the travelers. The festival period comprising Durga Puja and Diwali has always remained the most sought after time for trains and it seemed essential to include certain new trains to tackle the rising demand.

Some of the special trains being included are: 0331/0332 Howrah-Delhi Jn. bi-weekly superfast special, 0337/0338  Kolkata-Haridwar weekly express, and 0349/0350 Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar weekly superfast special. The Howrah-Delhi Jn. bi-weekly superfast special shall start from Howrah on every Wednesday and Sunday afternoon and shall reach Delhi the next day by noon. The return train would start from Delhi on Thursday and Monday morning and shall reach Howrah the next day by early morning.

The Kolkata-Haridwar weekly express shall begin from Kolkata on Wednesday mornings and shall arrive at Haridwar on the afternoon of the third day. Similarly, the return journey would commence during Friday mornings from Haridwar ending at Kolkata by next day afternoon.

The Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar weekly superfast special departure shall be on Friday evenings from Bhagalpur that will reach Anand Vihar by noon the next day. The return train starts on Saturday noon from Anand Vihar to arrive at Bhagalpur by 8 pm on Sunday.

The reservations for the special trains for Diwali shall be available on the website of the Indian Railways:  www.indianrail.gov.in and www.irctc.co.in.

So, there is somebody in the town who can actually make the motor-mouthed VJ and show anchor Nikhil Chinappa fumble. According to the latest buzz, Nikhil Chinappa was found fumbling and forgetting his dialogues on and off, while shooting for the recent episode of the reality show on Colors TV, India's got Talent. This episode saw Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as their guests, who actually came to promote their latest flick, Anjaana Anjaani.

The reality series is in its second season and has got into its semi-finals. If the talents were not spicy enough to get huge TRPs, then surely Priyanka Chopra and her glamorous avatar surely have made a mark amongst the audiences. She looks superb in all the promotional videos of the upcoming movie Anjaana Anjaani. The movie boasts about to the "strangest and greatest" love story.

An insider informs us that “While shooting the semi final episode, for the first time, the host Nikhil Chinappa was spotted fumbling while delivering his dialogues; to add more he even went completely blank and forgot his lines. Due to which they had to undergo many re takes. The buzz is that, Priyanka Chopra was the reason behind the actor’s nervousness.”

Surely, Priyanka's looks must have cost the producers some huge bucks. After the success of her movies like kaminey with Shahid Kapoor, surely the lady is sticking to her "kapoor luck". Though, there are rumors that she and Shahid are seeing each other, but both of them never admitted it publicly. Both Shahid Kapoor and Pryanka Chopra have been seen together in many restaurants and parties and were even spotted in each other vehicles after leaving their parties, but still the duo have never admitted any romantic relationship between them. They are still on with their "just friends" status.

When contacted, Nikhil Chinappa confirmed the buzz saying, “I think it is very common and can happen with anyone, Priyanka was looking stunning. And when someone so stunning is sitting in front of you it is difficult to take your eyes off. However we managed in just 2-3 takes and it was fun to have her on the show.”

So, Nikhil Chinappa is still getting coy about his fumble and defends himself in the garb of Priyanka Chopra's beauty.
