Hrithik Roshan stated that Guzaarish, his upcoming feature where he portrays a paraplegic who is eager to embrace death, was a turning point in his life. It entirely changed his views and his take on life. He believes it taught him an important lesson that he should be grateful for his innumerable gifts while there are many who suffer.

He got a golden opportunity to interact with many a patients for the role he is playing but clarifies that Guzaarish is not a medium to express views about the much debated topic of mercy killing. “This film doesn’t take any stand…It’s an individual story of Ethan and not about the issue of mercy killing. It’s about the strength of a paraplegic, who lived a full life for 14 years without being depressed.

He wrote books, he got the president’s medal, awards, he gave sermons…that is what the film is about,” Hrithik said. Guzaarish is a poignant tale of Ethan Mascarenhas, a magician played by Hrithik who is transformed into a paraplegic when he commits a minor error in his magic trick.

After the tragic incident, Ethan survives with two shining bits of light in his life, one is his Radio and the other is nurse, Sofia played by Aishwarya. After 14 years of sheer toil and trudging through life, Ethan petitions a court to be granted permission to end his miserable life. As he stumbles through various legal procedures, he settles on passing on his skills to Omar played by Aditya Roy Kapoor.

“Mercy killing in this film is from the point of view of the character…that after doing so much, why did he want to die? Till the time he was healthy, he was proudly living his life, even though he couldn’t move, he didn’t complain. But when he finds out that his body is going…liver, kidney, lungs, all are failing then it strikes him,” Hrithik adds who is known for his versatility as an actor and his huge potential.

“When I was reading the script, that was a time when the doctors had said that my knee will not be okay. At that time, I was already in a state of mind that helped me to identify with the script. And the beauty of it is that after reading the script, I wasn’t depressed. I was depressed when I started to read the script, but after reading it, I wasn’t depressed about my knee,” the 36-year-old Hrithik said.

“It taught me something and I woke up with a smile. I said whatever happens, knee or no knee, I will do this film. I got that attitude and through this film, I want to spread this across. I feel that every single human being, whether they like films or they don’t, they should see this film,” he added. Hrithik is a phenomenon in himself and his humility only adds to the charm. He is one of the very few actors who try to take up roles that they believe in and put in every grain of effort they can muster to gather knowledge about it.

Hrithik is a gentleman through and through and opines that the patients spent memorable times with him and he was vastly altered in personal life due to the effect their talk and experience has had on him. “I used to spend six hours with the patients, initially once a week and then once a month. I used to go to understand what they go through, what they think, what their needs are. They have taught me a lot of things. So if I have benefited from this experience so much, I am sure that when people see the film and understand the character, they will get a lot to learn,” he said.

Ramayana The Epic: Characters doing rap in Jungle, Rama with Six abs and a buxom Sita

Posted: 17 Oct 2010 08:16 AM PDT

Ramayana The Epic

According to Rajan Zed who is the famous Hindu statesman mentioned in the Nevada that any kind of re imaging and creative additions to the Holy Scriptures of the Hindus is not acceptable to the followers and the devotees.

He added that Hinduism welcomes any kind of Hollywood/Bollywood attempt immersed in mythology but then its hould be taken seriously with due respect and not just for any kind of refashioning of these holy concepts and the symbols to achieve mercantile goals and targets.

He was speaking about the release of Ramayana- the epic which is an animated movie which hit the theaters on the 15 October by the famous Warner Bros. Zed who leads the universal society of Hinduism as its president mentioned that the Hindu followers and devotes would not accept the famous characters doing any kind of Rap in the jungles before the epic war between Lord Rama and Ravana, nor the Rama with his six abs and a voluptuous sita.

According to Zed the Ramayan is a highly profound and honored Hindu scripture. Hollywood and bollywood can very well have their adaptations done but then finally when the movie comes out for release it should be true and respectful to the content of this great epic which forms the very basis of our culture and religion.

It should not be something which has been fantasized to allure the people in the theaters. It's very hurting to the religious and devotional sentiments of the people who look upon these Holy Scriptures for inspiration for the lives and daily routines.

Khali denies any planning in the WWE matches, stunts or even in the house of big boss

Great Khali

The house of Bigg Boss will now see something which is seven foot in height and eats the food of at least fifteen normal humans in one day. Yes it's the great wrestler from WWE the Great Khali who is all to turn the lives of the contestants into a living nightmare. Well the big question is what's so common between these reality shows and the fights at WWE.

According to the opinion of many people all the shows are always planned with elements of controversy and issues to allure the viewers along with the TRPs. But if one wants to know the opinion of Khali aka Dalip Singh Rana the reply is obvious. He himself is the part of the system then why would he go against it or for that matter even say something against it.

The man himself was speaking to the reporters when he said that if this was the scenario then why he would be the single one to represent India in the games up till now. More than half the population would have been there already. The fights and the matches are not planned at all.

The dangerous stunts that you see them attempting on the television are for real and there is nothing fake about them. He then asks that do they think that the viewers are so foolish or gullible to believe in something which is planned and fake till its core.
He added that he had worked very hard to reach the place and the title which he currently holds and cherishes.  It's not that the WWE is owned by my family members and relatives.

Pratibha Patil Wishes the Nation Happiness and Prosperity on the eve of Dussehra

Dussehra

It was the eve of the festival of Dussehra when our honourable president Pratibha Patil greeted the nation and the enthusiastic citizens of India wishing them happy Dussehra with lots of happiness and prosperity on their lives.

She said that may this great festival inspires the people of India to work and strive for peace, unity and the well being of this great nation.

According to official communiqué from the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the president offered her warm wishes to the common man and the citizens and wished for their lives to be full of bliss and prosperity on this auspicious occasion of Dussehra.

Patil added that this occasion of dussehra signifies the victory of the essence of truth, goodness and loyalty over the bad elements and evil prevalent in the society. Without bad, good cease to exist, without lightness darkness ceases to exist, and also without hatred love ceases to exist in this human world.

The day of dussehra is celebrated after lord Rama killed Ravana who had abducted his lawful wife Devi Sita during his Exile in the forest. Ravana was a very learned man and had gained many supernatural powers due to his knowledge and devotion to lord Shiva, the god of destruction.

But when he committed the felony of abducting Sita by fraud and wished to marry her, at that very moment he was doomed for destruction and death. From years this festival is celebrated as the mark for justice and good over the bad and injustice elements in the society. And that's what our president conveyed through her speech.
