Among the usual stories of multiple husbands, fast cars and fast times there is a shocking story about a relationship Kim Richards had just after separating from her husband Gregg Davis. From the book:
Immediately after her separation from Davis, Kim dated a bad egg, a twenty-nine-year-old securities broker and high roller with a house in Malibu. John Collett was a central figure in one of the country's largest scams, involving eight thousand elderly investors and nearly $150 million in losses. He was under investigation on suspicion of illegally selling partnerships in oil and gas leases.
A former stereo salesman, Collett was talking to Kim on a phone outside of Brent's Deli, in the San Fernando Valley community of Northridge, during lunchtime on October 28, 1991, when, as Jackson put it, "someone walked up yo him and popped a cap in his head."
Moments later Kim called the deli asking, "Have you seen my boyfriend, John Collett? He's a nice-looking guy."
Collet had been shot twice in the head at point-blank range by a hit man who had been paid $30,000 to bump him off.

Crystal Harris and Hugh Hefner Engaged For the New Year

Santa Claus presented Hugh Hefner with a busty blonde over the weekend, as the Playboy founder announced via Twitter that he's engaged to 24-year old Crystal Harris. He explained:

"I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve. When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas in memory."

Harris was the Playboy Playmate of December 2009 and moved into the famous Mansion soon afterward.

This will be the third marriage for Hefner, as he finally filed for divorce from Kimberly Conrad last year, following the pair's 1998 separation. He was previously hitched to Mildred Williams; their marriage ended 27 years before Harris was born.

Philadelphia Eagles (10-4) – The equation for the Eagles right now is very, very simple. Thanks to the huge comeback against the New York Giants, they only need one win or a New York loss to win the NFC East. The question is going to be whether they can squeeze a first round bye out of this year or not. With a relatively easy schedule left, winning out shouldn't be that hard, but the Chicago Bears need to lose a game for the bye to be acquired. Remaining Schedule: vs. MIN, vs. DAL

New York Giants (9-5) – Though New York still controls its own destiny with plenty of ease in the playoff race, it certainly doesn't feel that way. The Giants do know that a win at Lambeau Field on Sunday clinches a playoff spot and eliminates the Packers. However, it is going to take winning three road games to get to the Super Bowl in all likelihood unless they win their last two and the Eagles lose their last two. Remaining Schedule: @ GB, @ WAS

Washington Redskins (5-9) – The Redskins are guaranteed to finish below .500 this year, but they are giving QB Rex Grossman every chance to prove that he can be the starting QB for this team in the future. Remaining Schedule: @ JAX, vs. NYG

Dallas Cowboys (5-9) – Another 'W' for the Cowboys last week doesn't do anything but hurt their draft status, but wins are great for a team on the rise that could be very dangerous under the direction of Head Coach Jason Garrett this year. Remaining Schedule: @ ARI, vs. PHI

Teena Marie, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her R&B
performances, has died, her manager said Sunday. The performer was 54.

Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep,
manager Mike Gardner said.
