Did you know that you can call the pay phones at Epcot?

The red payphone booths at Epcot have real working numbers…… I just called and this really nice woman answered and was blown away that there was a real person on the other end of the phone. I told her that I was going to post about it on the blog. She thought that it was pretty neat. She said she was just walking by the phone booth and it rang.

So I thought some of you might want to give it a try. Here’s the numbers:

407-827-9861  Right Booth
407-827-9862 Left Booth
407-827-9863 Center Booth

If you call and someone answers, leave a comment and let us all know how the conversation goes!

I think that when I am in Epcot next week, I’ll have to try this and see if one of my readers can get me on the phone!

Our gift from Heaven

Posted: 26 Dec 2010 06:45 AM PST

My entire life I have prayed for a White Christmas. And yesterday we had the first White Christmas in recorded history here in Birmingham, AL. I firmly believe that it was a gift from Heaven. A gift from my son and my grandfather who passed away this year, my father in law who passed away in 2008 and so on and so on. It gave me tremendous peace and happiness.

I saved some in the freezer. We will see how long it lasts.

As much as I was dreading this Christmas, it turned out to be one of the best ones I have ever had. And all of your prayers for me this holiday season were so appreciated. I hope your Christmas was as great as mine was.

Just 6 days until we leave for Disney! I can’t wait to share that experience with all of you.

Epcot trip plan (day 1)

Posted: 25 Dec 2010 07:05 PM PST

Our first day at Disney World is Monday, January 3rd. We plan to go to Epcot that day. We are taking a rather relaxed approach to this trip, but I still like to have a general idea of what we will do.

Here’s our plan:

Arrive by 8:30 am for Rope Drop

Jason will head to Soarin for a Fastpass

I will take the kids to Epcot Character Spot to meet with the fab five. Plus when we leave we will look for the bonus character that is almost always waiting in the lobby

We will then head over to The Seas and do Finding Nemo

By now it’s time for Turtle Talk with Crush

When we finish head over to Soarin and use our Fastpasses

Swing by Test Track on our way to World Showcase and grab Fastpasses

Now this is where it gets tricky. I can’t really plan any more until my favorite site Steve Soares updates with this week’s schedule. I usually plan our day around character appearances. We also make sure that we ride Maelstrom and the 3 caballeros ride in Mexico.

Each trip we like to have a mission in the countries. The first trip we bought candy. The second trip we bought magnets. What do you suggest for this trip?

We also plan to do the kidcot stations with the kids too. We won’t buy the passports again. That was an absolute waste of money!
