Amazon.com: Pre-order Disney Tangled 3D Blu-Ray/DVD for $21.99

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 07:56 AM PST

Amazon.com has Disney Tangled 3D Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy on sale for $21.99 when you use the instant $8 coupon. Just scroll down the page and you will see the coupon.

This is a pre-order of the movie. Disney has not set the release date yet. But what is neat about Amazon’s pre-order guarantee is that if this movie decreases in price (even if the decrease only lasts a few minutes), you automatically get the lower price.

Personally I am not getting this move yet. I don’t think this is going to be the BEST deal, but I wanted to let you all know in case this appeals to you.

(Thanks Fabulous Family Finds!)

Amazon.com: Garmin 4.3 inch Widescreen for $84 shipped!

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 07:01 AM PST

Here is a HOT deal on a Garmin.

Amazon.com has the Garmin 4.3 inch widescreen portable GPS navigator for just $84 shipped. I am personally ticked off at this price since I gave $117 for this last February.

We love our Garmin though. It has not let us down yet. We used it to get to Disney and back as well as various trips around town. What I LOVE about a GPS is that you can look up restaurants, stores, gas stations, etc that are near you. This really comes in handy when you are on a trip and the kids are screaming MCDONALDS! Just click on the one you want to go to and it will route you there.

Be sure to check out all the current Amazon.com deals.

Day 18 of No Dining Out December

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 06:04 AM PST

Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do!

At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend however they choose!

The rules:

1. You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
2. You must comment on at least 10 days worth of the discussion posts in order to be eligible to win the gift card.
3. The winner will be chosen at random. It won’t matter if you have been 100% successful or not.
4. You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
5. Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
6. Here is a thought… consider keeping a tally of what you would of spent this month. For example, if you really want to go out for breakfast this morning and you resist… write that down! You could then donate that money to a food bank or deposit it into your fund!
7. Be sure to check out our list of casserole recipes here and the crock pot recipes here and the under 6 ingredient recipes here.

My progress:

No dining out for us yesterday. My mother in law made the best roast!

How are you doing?

Getting Started: How to create a Facebook page just to sign up for coupons, samples and more

Posted: 17 Dec 2010 06:32 PM PST

Facebook

More and more companies are starting to offer their free samples, coupons, promotions, etc on Facebook. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t post at least one deal that is only good for Facebook users. You pretty much have to have a Facebook account to make sure you don’t miss out on any deals. But I understand that not everyone wants to interact on Facebook. So here’s a tutorial on how to modify your Facebook account to protect your privacy while allowing you to sign up for all the offers.

How do you create a Facebook page?

So you have been holding out on creating a Facebook page and you aren’t sure where to start. It’s really quite simple. Just  go to Facebook.com. Fill out your personal information in the sign up box.

What if you want to remain invisible from everyone?

If you are only interested in using your Facebook account for signing up for offers, here’s what you need to do to make your account invisible:

  • Once signing up, you need to adjust your privacy settings. This is located under account in the top right corner.
  • Look for “Connecting on Facebook” and click on “View Setting” located just underneath it.
  • Change each drop down box to read Friends Only
  • Return to the privacy page. Make sure that Friends Only is bulleted on the list
  • You can read more about your privacy on Facebook here.

If you want to take it a step further, you can click on account, then click on account settings, and click change name to change the way your name is displayed. You might want to just put an initial for either your first or last name. It can take up to 24 hours for the changes to take place.

And that is really all there is to it. You can now sign up for all the Facebook exclusive offers that I post without having to worry about other people seeing your account information.

If you would like to experiment with your new Facebook account, you are welcome to like Couponing to Disney.

If you are new to Couponing, you might want to take a moment to read more in my Getting Started Couponing series.

Amazon Mom: No need to cancel it yourself after 3 months!

Posted: 17 Dec 2010 02:30 PM PST

Have you joined Amazon Mom for the free shipping benefits? If you have, you might be concerned on how to go about canceling the club before you are charged after the 3 month period. Great news…. you don’t even have to worry about it.

Here is what Amazon states:

How will I know when my free shipping benefit ends?

• In the third month of your membership, we will send you an e-mail that tracks your spending progress in the Baby store. This e-mail will contain a current end date for your shipping benefit based on how much you have spent in the Baby store.

What happens when the three months of FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime end–will I be charged?

• No, you will not be charged anything. If you earned additional months of free shipping benefits by spending in the Baby Store, then your free shipping benefits will be extended by the appropriate amount. If you did not earn additional months, then the free shipping benefit will simply end. You can always join Amazon Prime at the normal subscription price.

Plus there are plenty of items in the baby store that are very inexpensive and will extend your free shipping benefits.
