| "Mr. Watson! Come here! I want you!" Posted: 15 Jan 2011 07:22 AM PST "Watson" is also the name of the really amazing new IBM supercomputer that has already beat Jeopardy's two top-ranked human contestants (Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter) in a practice round. Next month, Watson will be entering all kinds of tournaments to show off its astonishing ability to come up with the right answers to non-formulaic questions. The screen also flashes Watson's degree of certainty about the answer he is giving to any question (nice touch, that!) |
