It’s Mega Swag Bucks Day!

Posted: 14 Jan 2011 05:00 AM PST

Today is Friday which means it is Mega Swag Bucks Day! That means Swag Bucks is giving away upwards of 400,000 Swag Bucks today – and you can earn anywhere from 30-1000 for one search.

What are Swag Bucks, exactly? They are electronic bucks that you earn for searching the web – something that most of us do every day right? You can then redeem these for items such as Amazon.com gift cards, Starbucks gift cards, Southwest Airlines credits plus more. Further increase your chances of earning bucks by referring friends, using the Swag Bucks toolbar, following the Swag Bucks Twitter stream, and reading the Swag Bucks Facebook page and blog.

I have been using Swag Bucks for awhile now, and I love them! My favorite items to save for are Amazon and Starbucks gift cards, and Southwest Airline vouchers.

If you aren’t already using Swag Bucks, learn more and sign up here.

Giveaway: Yoplait Smoothie and KitchenAid Blender

Posted: 13 Jan 2011 04:50 PM PST

Yoplait recently gave me the opportunity to try their Smoothie mixes.  We love smoothies at my house but usually make our own.  Yoplait Smoothies seemed like they were going to be a lot easier to make than what we normally do, so I was excited to give it a try.

I was right!  Yoplait Smoothies are super easy to make, I bet even my kids could do it.  All that you need is a Smoothie mix (found in the freezer case) and milk.  There are fruit and yogurt pieces in the mix and combined with the milk, provide a good chunk of our needed calcium and vitamin C for the day.  These are both items I am always trying to get more of into my kids.

There are 4 flavors available: Strawberry Banana, Strawberry Mango Pineapple, Triple Berry, and their new flavor Blueberry Pomegranate.  We tried the Triple Berry and the Blueberry Pomegranate and liked them both, although the Triple Berry was a favorite with my kids.

Each Smoothie  package contains enough for 2 (8 oz) servings, but I found the smoothie way too thick with the recommended 1 cup of milk.  Following the directions I added more milk to get to our desired consistency and was pleasantly surprised that we then had enough for all of us to have a good size glass.

I am always trying to fit more wholesome foods into our diets and I think Yoplait Smoothies will help me do that.  The prices are affordable (suggested retail price of $3.29, but often on sale for less) and right now you can go here to print a coupon for $1/1 a Yoplait Smoothie mix.

I am thrilled that Yoplait has given me a 3 Speed KitchenAid Blender and a FREE Yoplait Smoothie Product coupon to give away to one of you so that you can try one of these smoothies for yourself!

What am I giving away?

1 winner will receive a 3 Speed KitchenAid Blender and coupon for a FREE Yoplait Smoothie Mix
