Can Schools Cultivate Trial-and-Error as a Learning Method? Posted: 13 Dec 2010 04:55 AM PST Trial-and-error is a fantastic learning method, where assessment is built into the learning. The more you experiment, the more you master. The more you learn, the fewer errors you make--and then you get to play the game with more ease. The more easily you play the game, the better you play. It's fun. Mastery, learning, skill, accomplishment, are all fun. You are not rewarded by a break or a recess that allows you to stop playing. You are rewarded by harder play, more challenges, the next accomplishment. |
