Christmas Party continued: Do you put presents under the tree before Christmas?

Posted: 20 Dec 2010 12:42 PM PST

I didn’t get to finish all my Christmas questions yesterday….

Do you place wrapped gifts for your children under the tree before Christmas morning?

Our presents always appeared wrapped under our tree Christmas morning so that is what I have always done for my kids. My husband’s presents would be left by Santa under the tree all during the month of December. Now my mother in law puts all the presents under the tree on Christmas morning because I converted her. LOL

What do you do? Just for leaving a comment letting me know, you are entered to win $15 on Amazon to buy a gift for yourself!

This giveaway is being sponsored by Couponing to Disney and is in no way affiliated with Amazon. This giveaway will end at 8 pm cst tonight!

Day 20 of No Dining Out December

Posted: 20 Dec 2010 06:04 AM PST

Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do!

At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend however they choose!

The rules:

1. You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
2. You must comment on at least 10 days worth of the discussion posts in order to be eligible to win the gift card.
3. The winner will be chosen at random. It won’t matter if you have been 100% successful or not.
4. You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
5. Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
6. Here is a thought… consider keeping a tally of what you would of spent this month. For example, if you really want to go out for breakfast this morning and you resist… write that down! You could then donate that money to a food bank or deposit it into your fund!
7. Be sure to check out our list of casserole recipes here and the crock pot recipes here and the under 6 ingredient recipes here.

My progress:

No dining out for me yesterday. Hubby was working so he went out to lunch and spent $9.

How are you doing?

For leaving a comment letting me know what your best deal was, you are entered to win $50 to spend on Amazon! This giveaway will end at 9 pm on Monday night. This giveaway is being sponsored by Couponing to Disney and is in no way affiliated with Amazon.

What gift are you most excited to give this year?

Posted: 19 Dec 2010 01:40 PM PST

Of all the gifts you are giving this year, which one are you the most excited to give?

For me it’s the 2 American Girl dolls I bought Emily. I have always wanted an American Girl doll, and I never received one as a child. I wanted Emily to read all the books before she picked her doll. So far we have only made it through Felicity and of course she is in love with Felicity and they are retiring her at the end of this year.

And there is nothing like almost losing a child to open your purse strings. I bought her both Felicity and Elizabeth. (Ok I got Elizabeth so I will have a doll to play with.) I plan to give them to her last. I can’t wait to see her reaction!

So what are you most excited to give this year?

Just for posting you will be entered to win a surprise present to open from me on Christmas morning! I have something fun in mind. This giveaway will end at 9 pm cst tonight!
