Simulating Landslides in a Flume Posted: 19 Dec 2010 09:52 PM PST An article on the ScienceMag website describes a USGS project that simulates landslides in a flume that is two meters wide, 100 meters long and is installed on a very steep hill. If you want to watch raw videos of the landslide flume experiments and read documentation you can find them on the USGS website. They have about 12 hours of videos documenting the 124 experiments conducted at the USGS debris-flow flume from 1992 to 2009 |
