| Twitter and Tumblr raise VC funding Posted: 19 Dec 2010 04:00 PM PST  Twitter and Tumblr have both recently secure additional venture capitalist funding from Silicon Valley VC firms. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has put in around $200 million to Twitter giving the company a valuation of around $3.7 Billion. Spark Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Union Square Ventures have reportedly put in $30 million to Tumblr. This puts both Micro-blogging sites in a good positions for short and medium term growth while they still determine their best business model to support the business.
