We stayed at a timeshare and my 7 yr old daughter spotted a Hidden Mickey on the wall. I love it when the kiddies do that! Just wanted to share. Thanks for your awesome blog! Glad you’re all back safe from WDW! Did you know that there are over 800 Hidden Mickeys at Disney World? And to bring that magic home, I challenge you to find Mickey hidden in your everyday life. Day 19 of No Dining Out January Posted: 19 Jan 2011 05:00 AM PST Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do! At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend however they choose! How can this help you “Coupon to Disney?” Take a look at your current dining out budget. How much did you spend last month going out to eat? That is money that could of gone into your fund instead! Try cutting your out to eat costs this month and adding the difference to your fund. Set a weekly dining out budget, if you resist going out to eat, add that amount to your fund instead. If you were seriously about to go out to eat (like had your coat on and was going out the door or pulled into the drive thru and then pulled back out), add the amount you would of spent to your fund. Going out to eat and using a coupon or paying with a gift card? You could add that amount to your fund too. For example… if you had a $25 gift card to Cracker Barrel and you used it, you could take $25 cash out of your budget and add it to the fund. Or if you used a $10 coupon, you could take $10 cash out of the budget and add it to the fund. Be sure to read my Couponing to Disney training series. The rules: You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate! What is the Fantasyland Expansion exactly? Posted: 18 Jan 2011 03:49 PM PST The internet is a buzz this afternoon with talks on the New Fantasyland Expansion at the Walt Disney World Resort. Our coverage on Chip and Company started off with our Disney Confidential article discussing some of the many changes. We were fortunate enough to get some of the Concept Art that will be featured in the Media Event. Check out all the Concept Art Images here. After doing a little digging I was able to find out more details on the HUGE Disney World Expansion. First off the Mickey Toon Town area will be replaced by a Big Top Circus. It will feature tons of hands on games for the kiddies and 2 carousels of Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Sad news Snow White Scary Adventures will be retired to make way for a Princess Meet and Greet (in a castle!) and a one of a kind Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Coaster. Construction is beginning on the Little Mermaid Dark Ride. I am the most excited about this! For complete details head on over to Chip and Company here and read up what they have learned so far.
