Yahoo Network to allow signin with Facebook/ Google login

Posted: 18 Jan 2011 03:58 PM PST

According to the Yahoo Corporate Blog, the Yahoo Network will soon allow you to sign-in to Yahoo! sites with your Facebook login or Google ID.

Facebook already implemented sign-in with OpenID in 2008, and this next step will surely increase the activity on Yahoo sites.

Currently Yahoo is attracting around 600 million visitors a month and this figure will no doubt go up when the sign-in process is refined further.

Here is a video from the Yahoo Corporate blog showing the new 3rd party sign-in process.

This is a good move by Yahoo as the company looks to attract new visitors.
